Founded in 1926, the F-M Cosmopolitan Club is one of the oldest service clubs in
the Fargo-Moorhead area. While Cosmopolitan’s principle effort is directed to the
fight against diabetes, the Club also supports numerous community service projects
and charitable causes.
From July 1, 2008 to Jun 30, 2009, F-M Cosmo members raised nearly $34,000 for local
charities and non-profits. As a whole, Cosmopolitan International raises the most
funds per capita than any other service organization ($500 per person internationally
and $1,600 per person locally).
The FM Cosmopolitan Club meets Thursdays at noon throughout the year. Our meetings
last for one hour and consist of social time, club business and a speaker from the community.
In addition to our weekly meetings and service work, the F-M Cosmos has several social
events and routinely provide volunteer support to local charitable events. Our members
come from all areas of the community: banking and financial, healthcare, social and human
services, insurance, education and retail, to name a few.
